Installation

 Hey backers,

There are instructions in the packaging, but an updated version with tips is available for download at f3cycling.com in the "resources" tab.

We recommend you watch the videos attached here as Frank's tips make the install process very efficient. They are also on the site and on the F3 YouTube channel. I did the filming and timed him from start to finish in just 54 seconds. Anyone who beats Frank's time gets a FREE FormMount. You have to send us a video and it must be a "pro" install.

Setting Shipping Expectations

 Hi Backers, 

We will be posting regular shipping updates to report progress.  This first week is going to be kinda slow while we ramp up the process. Starting next week we should have a decent amount of mounts shipping out almost daily.

I believe it's going to take us a few weeks to get all the Kickstarter pledges shipped out.

Here's a copy of my recently posted comment regarding shipping

"We started shipping last Friday and will continue to ship as quickly as possible until all pledges are fulfilled. Kickstarter pledges will ship first, then Indigogo, then we will go direct/retail. So, we are very sorry for the delays, but ask for a bit more patience while we work through the many pledges. 

The last thing we want to happen is to have backers wait all this time only to receive their pledge not as expected."

Short arms or long arms?

As you know, you all get both.

Here's a tip for arm selection based on our experimentation: For any computer 2.75" or smaller, short arms work best. Long arms for all other computers.

Experiment and have fun with all the adaptability of FormMount.

Garmin 520 & 820 mounting

Hey everyone,

We are getting a lot of questions about what arms to use for the Garmin 520 and 820, and understandably so as those are Garmin's most popular models. The answer is long arms will work best. I've attached a screen pic here from our installation video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i9tsNWklZCw) where we show the 520 being mounted. Note the time stamp in lower left corner. You can also see in the video how snugly it can be tucked against the stem and still have access to the buttons.
